Sunday the 17th of February was Halls Taekwondo Open Day in Melbourne. See what Tiffiny had to say about the event below:
"Thank you to everyone who came to Hall’s Taekwondo’s Open Day. I can’t believe we’ve been kicking it for 29 years. Five full time ninja facilities, inspiring instructors who can still kick vertical, a tribe of white warriors who come to training week after week, a community of friends and families dedicated to strengthening the health and wellbeing of our kids – I feel so privileged to be a part of your journey.
I loved signing copies of White Ninja for Hall’s students who are living like my heroine Roxy Ran – fighting for their health and confidence.
Powerfully, I was reminded of how positive Taekwondo is for the whole family. It’s not just about a cleansing sweat but more importantly, Taekwondo bolsters emotional fitness. The kids lining up to have their belts signed and books autographed were resilient, confident leaders. I was reminded of the friendships forged in Taekwondo classes that will last a lifetime and the endurance of training that will help meet hardship with the alacrity of black belts who never give in. I’m often caught up in LA (life administration) as much as the next ninja, but the reason I still take Taekwondo classes is because it reminds me of what I truly value: my health, a strong mind and the power of family and community.
At Hall’s we teach kids ‘Black belts are white belts who never give in’ – a life lesson for whatever you take on in and out of the dojang.
